Walton Firs took an active part in the Centenary of Scouting hosting Centenary camps, Sunrise with World Fellows from the World Scout Foundation, Royal visit from Duke of Kent and a very busy camping season.
SUNRISE 1st August 2007
The day started with renewal of the promise lead by King of Sweden followed by breakfast for the World Scout Foundation. The fellows then enjoyed activities with the campers. Before the fellows left the King lit the peace beacon. The campers then enjoyed a full day of activities including barbeque & campfire.
Royal Visit by Duke of Kent.
The Duke of Kent unveiled a plaque at the site to commemorate his visit and the successful fundraising to save the site from closure.
21st World Jamboree - HoHo
Walton Firs welcome scouts from Tajikistan as part of home hospitality after the World Jamoree.
